I have heard some say that former president Bill Clinton can hurt Hillary Clinton from winning the presidency by stumping for her. But how can this be? He was a 2 term president. Wouldn’t that be good to have such a person on your side? Thank you.

Bill has a tendency to try and steal the show so to speak and make it more about him than about her.
I think its just in his nature, he loves the limelight.
Danger is people will remember what they liked about Bill (whatever that is, I don’t like him), and notice that Hillary doesn’t have it.
Or conversely, recall all that Clinton baggage, and think ‘hmm… time for a change (Obama/Mitt Romney)’ instead.
He just about said she was fat and old the other day, too, not to mention ranting about ‘unfair media coverage’, Obama attacking him, he’s getting a little senile its seems.
PS – Steve J, I can’t think of one Republican that likes Bill Clinton.
He seems to be more of an asset than a hindrance.
Democrats all love Bill, and even many republicans as well.
To the person 2 answerers below me: I guess that means no republicans appreciated a thriving economy and good foreign relations during the Clinton years.
Having bill in your background is pretty detrimental to about anybody.. the way he went down doesn’t make a difference how long he was in office.. he was a horrible president.. if you’re hoping hilary clinton will win, (not sure if you are) then hope she can do it despite her husband’s failures, not because of his experience
He can’t! How far she gets, will be determined by how far she can ride on his coattails. That’s the only thing she has going for her! People that believe she can take them back to the Clinton Years will vote for her!! I guess some think it will be like Bill gets to serve a third term!!

No it was Bill talking earlier that HELPED he was one of the most popular presidents in history! Our business flourished during the Clinton years, we had an excellent economy! HE had excellent foreign relations!
